What are eyelash extensions?

Eyelash Extensions have been around since the late 1990’s, and originated in Asia. Used initially by celebrities, models and actresses to help enhance their look while in front of the cameras, as the secret got out to magazines and interviewers, women began to ask
their own beauty salons about the procedure.
Eyelash Extensions differ from “fake” or “false” strip eyelashes in that they are applied one extension to one lash. The technique involves attaching a synthetic, silk or mink, or even human eyelash extension to an individual natural eyelash on the client, with the result of longer, darker and more abundant lashes.
Eyelash Extensions come in a variety of lengths, thicknesses, curl types, and colors. Black is the most common requested color.
Extensions are perfect for everyday wear and can be worn during sleep, showering and swimming. With proper care and touchup visits they can last anywhere from 5 to 8 weeks depending on how the person cares for them as well as their own natural lash cycle.
Normally a person's natural eyelash falls out every 45 - 90 days and a new lash grows in immediately. Therefore, it is necessary to get touch-ups to fill in the spaces once several extensions have “shed”. Refills should be done every 2 weeks, however, this will vary from
person to person.
Benefits of having Eyelash Extensions:
 Increased lash length.
 Create volume and darkness of your own natural lashes.
 Extensions make eyes appear lifted and more open.
 Give a more youthful appearance.
 Save clients time since clients do not have to wear mascara unless they prefer to
(only water based recommended!)
 The adhesive that is used is black in color so it gives the illusion of wearing
mascara but without the clumps.
